Learning Unlimited wins Caribbean Gems annual High School Swim Competition

COLE BAY--Learning Unlimited School won Sunday’s High School Swim Competition, sponsored by Caribbean Gems.  Learning Unlimited’s team combined for 333 points, followed by Caribbean International Academy in second with 309 points, Milton Peters College in third with 278 points and St Maarten Academy in fourth with 92 points.  


  Milton Peters College swimmers also took home the Spirit Award, given annually to the team exhibiting the most enthusiasm and positive sportsmanship throughout the event.  Fifty six swimmers competed in the meet, racing in 14 different individual and relay events.  
  High point scorers include Iris Van Den Oever, 14 and under girls, CIA; Vadym Semkiv, 14 and under boys, CIA, Taffi Illis, 15 and over girls, Milton Peters College, and Rashad Peterson, 15 and over boys, St Maarten Academy.  
  The annual Elementary Schools Meet, also hosted by Caribbean Gems, will take place at the CST pool on Sunday, February 26.
