Team Island Water World won the first two races in the Melges 24 class at the St. Barths annual La Voile Regatta. Racing started Tuesday with strong winds in the morning of 18 knots.
Island Water World trailed the Melges from Martinique, GFR, for most of the first race catching them close to the finish. St. Maarten’s other entry Kick ‘em Jenny, a Melges 32, placed first in class too. Day two the wind dropped. Island Water World excelled, to finish far ahead of the fleet. Kick ‘em Jenny placed third.
