Island Water World reaches podium

TORTOLA--Team Island Water World placed third in Caribbean Sailing Assocation Class three at the British Virgin Islands Spring regatta.  Sailing their blue, white and red Melges 24 in the waters of the Virgin Islands , they where the only Yacht representing St. Maarten . 

The team consisting of   Joep Groenendijk ,  Berit Bus , Ernst Jan v. Housselt  from Team Brunel and skipper Frits Bus  competed in seven races.  They placed third in four,  fourth in one and fifth twice to once again stand tall on a podium. Thus far this season IWW won class at the St. Maarten heienken regatta and placed third in the St. Thomas International regatta . Dark Star a J 105 from Puerto Rico was first and Pipedream a Sirena 38 from the  BVI’s was second this past weekend in Tortola. Fourth was another BVI boat Rushin’  Rowlette an Olsen 30.
  There were seven boats in the class.
Next race for the sailing team will be La Voile in St.  Barths  April 11 to 17.
