High performance baseball coming to St. Maarten

 CUL DE SAC--Baseball International School is coming to St. Maarten.  With one successful baseball academy up and running in Aruba since  2008, Tony Rombley is coming to the Friendly Island to open a St. Maarten School.


  The High performance training facility is scheduled to open the first quarter of 2016. Try-outs will be held at John Cooper Jose Lake Sr. Ballpark and are set for Thursday, December 10.  Players age 10 to 12 will take the field from 4:00 to 5:30pm.  The 13 to 14 year olds will work out from 5:00 to 6:30pm and from 6: to 7:30pm the athletes age 15 to 18 will try out.
    “The school is for all players, ” said Rombley who has family ties to St. Maarten.  He explained although the training is high performance the athletes will range from top players looking for college scholarships or pro contracts to beginner players who just do not want to spend a lot of time on the bench.
  Rombley is the General Manager and founder of Baseball International School Aruba. He is a well-known baseball player and manager. Before BIS he set up and ran European Baseball School in the Netherlands starting in 1998.
  Rombley is also a coach with several successful campaigns including the 2009 Kingdom Games Champion.
  “Now the time has come to give talented players on St. Maarten an opportunity to achieve their dream in Baseball,” said Rombley.
