Gym Enfants bring home six medals

GUADELOUPE—For the second year in a row Mai-Angél Martis won a gold medal at the Regional Gymnastics Competition of French Guillane in the Poussi Gym category on Saturday.


  Martis was one of six athletes from Gym Enfants, St. Martin that traveled to Guadeloupe with coach Claire Brunel. All six returned Sunday with a medal. Martis won gold in the year 2009 age group.
  Gym Enfants swept the 2008 group, taking the three top awards. Xénia Ahlip won the gold medal for the second consecutive year. Meï Marchisella placed second and Charlotte Martinez placed third.
  In the Poussi Gym 2010 category Millie Marchisella placed second earning silver and Maëlys Farlot finished third for a Bronze medal.
  Gym Enfants is looking forward for the start of the new school year when they will be moving to a new venue in Hope Estate, Grand Case.
