Final sections of artificial grass laid at Thelbert Carti Stadium

MARIGOT—The last part of artificial grass for the playing field in Thelbert Carti Stadium has been laid and the pitch is now in perfect playing condition, the Collectivité disclosed.

The Collectivité began the rehabilitation of the Thelbert Carti Stadium in French Quarter in 2021. Phase one of the work, which has now been completed, consisted of putting up a new fence around the stadium, installing new lighting throughout the stadium and laying a new synthetic surface on the playing field.
The cost of phase one is 500,000 euros. Phase two will be launched in 2022 and will consist of construction of a new athletics track, changing rooms and bleachers. Phase three (2023-2024) will involve the construction of a building with a dojo, fitness room, dance room and yoga room on the ground floor and a socio-cultural area on the first floor.
