Athletes preparing well for BFASM’s Junior, Senior, annual championships

MARIGOT—Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of St. Martin (BFASM) will be treating the public to double the action for the upcoming 2nd St. Martin Annual Junior Championship  and the 7th St. Martin Annual Inter-Island Championship scheduled respectively for June 30 and July 1, 2017.

“The 2017 bodybuilding season is already shaping up to be a very busy one for Team St. Martin,” stated BFASM President François Carty. “Of the six championships around the Caribbean the most anticipated ones are St. Martin’s annual BFASM Inter-Island Championship, our annual Juniors Championship, and the 45th Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Championships to be held in Mexico.
“Our juniors are well ahead of schedule in their preparation thanks to our coaches,” Carty disclosed. “For the first time we will have two nights of action starting Friday, June 30, with the Junior Championship with well over 20 youths participating in four categories; two Men’s Physique and two Bikini.
“The big night for the senior athletes will be on Saturday, July 1, 2017, at St. Martin’s 7th Annual Inter-Island Championship to be held in Maho’s Casino Royale with an estimated 12 countries and 80-100 athletes participating in 12 categories; Bodybuilding (3), Bikini (2), Women's Physique (2), Men’s Physique (2), Body-Fitness (2) and for the first time Wellness (1). This is a new category with beautiful women showing off nice, well sculpted thick legs.
“We have also included the junior athletes in the competition so we can expose our youths to this level of championship and promote our youths. All participating island federations will be travelling with about two of their junior athletes in each category,” Carty noted.
“As usual Team BFASM St. Martin will be ready to represent the island. We will be having a bigger team competing in every category as well as defending our junior championship title. These championships are made possible by the generous contribution of our sponsors and continuous support from our loyal supporters for which we are truly thankful.”
