Antigua & Barbuda sink St. Maarten in five minutes

FLORIDA-- Antigua & Barbuda scored twice in the first five minute of the game to defeat St. Maarten in the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Championship in Bradenton Florida.

Antigua & Barbuda won 2-0. St. Maarten at 1-1 in pool play is ranked number two and will face Grenada tomorrow. With a win St. Maarten will advance to the next round.
It was expected that Antigua & Barbuda the top contender in the group would start off by putting high pressure on the St. Maarten defense. Bad clearance led to both quick goals.
An early substitution, Anthony Mingo came into the squad to regain control on the midfield. The remainder of the first half not much happened in front of either goals and the battle was merely fought on the midfield.
St. Maarten started-off furiously in the second half resulting into a couple of chances but the Antigua & Barbuda defense, was able to keep a clean sheet.
St. Maarten defeated Dominica 1-0 in their first game. A total of 41 CONCACAF members have fielded teams this year.
