 25 swimmers to represent Sint Maarten at OECS Championships

 PHILIPSBURG--Twenty-five swimmers have been selected to represent St Maarten at the 2026 OECS Swimming Championships scheduled for November 6 to 8, 2026, at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre in Gros Islet, Saint Lucia.


 The selected swimmers are Adaya Bourne, Aiyana Bourne, Ashni Mahes, Azaiah Duzon, Caithlyn Challenger, Charlotte Challenger, Colin Bootman, Declan Boyd, Emmbriel Flanders, Gabriel Antunez, Holdson Jean-Fort, Iejaelin Richardson, J'aishaa Jeffers, Jayden Williams, Kian Taroenoredjo, Kjeld van der Meer, Maik Croes, Natalia Mullen, Pelaiah Janssen, Sevastian Williams, Sil Vink, Stella Dordevic, Tavare Green, Victoria Otto and Xanisha Fitzpatrick Aventurin.

 The coaching staff will consist of Coach Dwight Vermeer and Coach Eline Broere. Cassandra Janssen will serve as a delegation leader, while a second delegation leader is still to be announced. 

 The St Maarten Aquatic Federation (SMAF) said qualification for the national delegation reflects the athletes' hard work, commitment, discipline and dedication during training and competitions. It also recognized the contribution of coaches, clubs and parents to the athletes' development.
 SMAF congratulated all 25 athletes and said it looks forward to seeing them represent St Maarten at the 2026 OECS Swimming Championships
