Beal leads Wizards to win over Pistons

WASHINGTON --Bradley Beal had 29 points and six assists and the Washington Wizards edged away from the visiting Detroit Pistons 106-100 on Monday.
  Center Ian Mahinmi supplied 21 points on 9-for-10 shooting and added seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals for Washington, which won the season series, 3-1. Thomas Bryant added 13 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Root finds right recipe as England go ahead in series

Sainz a triple Dakar winner as Brabec makes U.S. history

SAUDI ARABIA - Spaniard Carlos Sainz became a triple Dakar Rally champion with the Mini X-Raid team at the age of 57 on Friday while American Ricky Brabec took the motorcycle crown for Honda and ended KTM's 18-year dominance.
Brabec is the first American to win the Dakar on two wheels since the gruelling endurance event started from Paris through the Sahara desert to the Senegalese capital in West Africa in 1979.
Both were also the first winners in Saudi Arabia, a country making its debut as host of an event staged in South America for the past decade.

Mahomes, Chiefs handle Titans 35-24 to reach Super Bowl LIV

AMSTERDAM-- Iran's only female Olympic medallist has been training in the southern Dutch city of Eindhoven after leaving her homeland several weeks ago, national broadcaster NOS reported on Monday.
