Royal Caribbean Cruises agrees to partner with GPH in Antigua

ANTIGUA--Cruise port operator Global Ports Holding (GPH) has reached an Antigua and Barbuda partnership agreement with Royal Caribbean Cruises.

GPH (Antigua) Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of GPH, was recently awarded an exclusive 30-year concession with regard to the cruise port facilities at St. John’s Port in Antigua and Barbuda and Falmouth Harbour and Barbuda Island.

Under the partnership deal, GPH will operate and manage the cruise port facilities, with both parties investing in the completion of the new pier, which will allow the port to handle Oasis-class ships and a material upgrade of the current and new retail and food and beverage (F&B) facilities.

The company explained that full financial closure, including the final terms of the partnership agreement and commencement of the concession, is expected to occur before the end of July. ~ World Maritime News ~
