ST. JOHN’S, Antigua--Congratulations are pouring in for international sportswoman Kimberly Percival, who was conferred the title of Ambassador-at-Large on Monday, January 31.

Ambassador Percival received her instruments of appointment at Government House in a brief ceremony. Percival made history when she captured the top prize at the prestigious international bodybuilding event, the Arnold Classics Europe in Seville, Spain, becoming the first athlete from Antigua and Barbuda to claim such an international reputation.

Minister of Sports Daryll Mathew noted that the clinching of the first-place winner in the international competition has placed Antigua and Barbuda in a place of high repute and has made Kimberly Percival’s face recognisable in circles of fitness and health globally.

She has been interviewed by television and magazines with global audiences and is extremely articulate. Minister of Tourism Charles Fernandez also agreed that Ambassador Kimberly Percival would be an asset to the global promotion programme of Antigua and Barbuda. ~ Antigua News Room ~
