The truth is always narrow

Dear Editor,

As I get wiser (experience in life while maturing) I truly realize there is nothing good about the nature of man.

In fact without doing nothing what we call wrong we are all on the highway to hell. The nature of man is sinful, and we born in sin. Let me explain.

Genesis 6:5 – The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. Notice the last words of the sentence before, (was only evil all the time)

1 John 3:4 – Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. Sin is breaking of God laws, (ten commandments)

Matthew 15:9 – For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. If we are honest with ourselves including both women and men most of us fall for adultery, fornication and sexual immorality. If you just look locally on Facebook, women and men have lower their values so low they expose their private body parts and private affairs on Facebook then boast about it.

This statement is taken from Dr. W.A. Criswell and I quote, “When considering the truth, there are three aspects in which people can be broad or narrow. First, we ought to be broad in our sympathies. Wherever we live, in whatever status or culture, we ought to be sympathetic, seeking to be kind, generous, and understanding. Second, we ought to be broad in our horizons. We ought not to be biased and prejudiced toward others. But third, we ought to be narrow in our acceptance and defense of the truth, especially the truth about Almighty God. Truth is always narrow – always. Not just some of it. All of it.”

I agree with Dr. W.A. Criswell. This is my statement now: “The truth is always narrow because it has no space for lies or untruth.” The reason why we have difficulty to accept the truth because the truth points out our sin.

And it is our nature to reject Christ and embrace sin because our nature is sinful and that is why we are separated from God. That is why we can have affairs with married people and cheat and sleep with people that we are not married to – because our nature is sinful and we see it as normal.

This is not to insult any person because I include myself. Only when you see your faults and admit it is wrong, then you can change. But most of us do not want to change or choose not to change. We just hate to admit the truth. People you often hear we are brothers and sisters in Christ, the truth is that is not true. That is only true when you repent and accept Christ as your savior.

This is what Christ says about the many people of the world who are taking the broad road and who hate the truth.

John 8:44 – Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.

Ask yourself this question: how is it that many churches do not preach these scriptures, because these scriptures identify and expose sin and tell you what has to be done to turn away from that. But if many churches preach these scriptures the congregation will leave the church because people in general do not want to be told turn away from sin. The masses of people love to live in sin.

The rejection of Christ’s love demands judgement. So you now see that we choose to go hell. Christ did not send us there.

The conclusion is the truth is always narrow. That is why the path to righteousness is narrow and difficult. To find it you must deny self and give 100 percent of your life to Christ. I am still trying fighting the good fight. The truth is always narrow.
