MARIGOT--A 20-year-old man died on Saturday after succumbing to injuries caused by a motorcycle accident.
According to the Gendarmerie, the victim hit a wall outside the entrance to La Samanna Hotel at 4:30pm after apparently losing control of the motorbike. Despite the best efforts of emergency services he was not able to be saved, and died from his injuries at Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital at around 6:00pm.
Speeding was suspected as contributing to the accident. The Gendarmerie did not disclose the deceased’s name, however, Facebook posts mention his name as Kerry Coipel from French Quarter.
