Xmas songs

A Christmas Cantata entitled “Immanuel our Saviour” was held at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in St. Eustatius over the past weekend. Organised by Riana Bennett, the event featured songs by individuals, bands, and different choirs, as well as a sermonette by Pastor Virgil Sams. Highlight of the event was the narration of the birth of Christ. One of the performers that played with Walton “Lord Gene” Schmidt (in photo) travelled all the way from the Netherlands with the express purpose of serenading and spending the holidays on the island. Many persons said the Cantata was a joy to witness and experience. They hoped for a repeat of the event in 2018. The Church also held an open-air service outside Golden Rock Pharmacy later in the week.
