Work on school

Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Silveria Jacobs announced on Wednesday that the funds have been finally transferred to the contractor that will be conducting the critical upgrades and installations at Leonald Conner School in Cay Bay. The school is one of three that are being tackled in phase one of the Public School Critical Technical Upgrade project. A meeting took place on Monday with representatives of the Ministry of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure VROMI Department of New Projects; the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports ECYS Public Education Division; Contractor Hemco; and CECC Caribbean Engineering, which has been charged with the supervision of the project. The entire project is expected to last four weeks with the completion date being March 7. The execution of the works is financed by N.V. GEBE in the amount of NAf. 315,000.
