Well-Being Conference to start with restorative yoga practice

PHILIPSBURG--The second Caribbean Well-Being Conference will take place in St. Maarten on August 5 and 6 under the theme “Fostering Resilience: Creating a culture of well-being in schools.”

The conference caters to educators, counsellors, youth workers and parents with the aim of improving the wellbeing of the child by promoting the wellbeing of the caregiver.

In keeping with the promotion of caregiver wellbeing, the conference

will kick off this year with a pre-conference session on Restorative Yoga Practice at the Government Administration Building Main Conference Room. The session is open to the public and will teach meditation and mindfulness to explore the mind-body connection. No previous yoga experience is needed.

The session time is 6:00 to 7:00pm. The cost is US $10 for conference registrants and $15 for all others. Fee includes a yoga mat.
