Parliament meeting on prison postponed

PHILIPSBURG--Parliament's first session following the summer recess that was scheduled for today, Wednesday, is postponed until further notice.

  The sitting was to be the continuation of the urgent session on the management structure of the detention facilities and the status and significance of Progress Committee reports recommendations. 

  Justice Minister Cornelius de Weever was set to be present for the session that was requested by Members of Parliament Tamara Leonard, Sidharth Bijlani and Jules James (all UD).

  A new date for the meeting will be set soon.
