Waiting to get out

The last impression of St. Maarten experienced by a number of stay-over and in-transit visitors on Thursday morning at Princess Juliana International Airport was not the friendliest one. They arrived on time to check in for the first flights out of the airport, but once they were cleared with the airline counters they ended up in a snaking queue in the Departure Hall. According to information gathered, the delay was Immigration Officers opening the passport counters later than usual, instead of earlier in the morning to coincide with the early check-ins.
