Police officer fighting for his life after accident in Sucker Garden

Concerned Police officers at SMMC. 

SUCKER GARDEN—Close to 11:00am, Reportedly Police Officer Alexander Boasman was driving his scooter heading towards town when he slammed into a Jeep Wrangler that veered off to the right and made a u-turn in front of him.  

alexanderboasmanThe incident occurred on Thursday morning, leaving the officer with a broken leg and in a coma at the St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC). Police Spokesman Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson said the young officer was in critical condition.

The young lady who was driving the jeep is also in the hospital, but no update had been given on her condition as yet. Reports indicate that a child was also in the vehicle. A number of police officers were at SMMC hoping for their colleague to pull through this ordeal.
