UPDATE Man killed in Cay Bay

UPDATE

CAY BAY--Police patrols, detectives and forensic investigators were directed to Aaron Jacob Drive in Cay Bay at 11:10pm Tuesday in connection reports of a shooting and a lifeless body with apparent gunshot wounds being discovered.

According to police, officers located the body of the man known as “Popcorn,” a security guard, on the floor with no witnesses around. The scene was immediately closed off by the investigating officers and detectives were interviewing potential witnesses while the forensic investigators collected evidence.

The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by a medical doctor and the body was confiscated for further investigation. According to reports from the police, the man had been involved in a shootout several days before and his death was a result of retaliation. Police remain tight-lipped about the case and will release more information about the murder at a later time.

Witnesses are asked to come forward, call 911 and talk to investigators about the case.
