COLE BAY--Fifteen volunteers from the St. Maarten Tzu Chi Foundation, ages five to 65, braved the hot sun and dedicated a portion of their day on Saturday, October 15, to help transport more than 60 tables and chairs from Tzu Chi's former pilot humanitarian school to All Children’s Education (ACE) Foundation's new location in Cole Bay.
One of the volunteer said when she realised that the effort was for ACE students, she was more than happy to dedicate her time for the volunteer effort.
Tzu Chi congratulates ACE on their new location, wishes the school much success in its future endeavours. The foundation also thanked businessman Imran McSood Amjad for stepping up to the plate to offer his property for the school to use.

Tzu Chi Commissioner Sandra Cheung said the foundation is grateful to ACE and its founder Claire Elshot for the opportunity to work together for the education of youngsters in St. Maarten over the past three years, noting that it was regrettable that the foundation was financially unable to continue helping the foundation.
A recent court verdict ordered ACE to vacate a property owned by Tzu Chi by October 3, due to outstanding unpaid rent exceeding US $19,000. The verdict was complied with.

As the old saying goes, an act of kindness creates a chain reaction of compassion and we hope that Teacher Claire and the ACE Foundation continue their mission for education on the island of St. Maarten.”
Tzu Chi thanked the 15 volunteers for taking time from their busy schedules to help relocate the tables and chairs for the students of ACE school.
