Two new trees

Tamarind Hotel was named after a magnificent old tamarind tree. Hurricane Gonzalo on October 13, 2014, killed this beautiful and perhaps oldest tamarind tree in St. Maarten. The manager of Tamarind Hotel has been looking to buy and plant a new tamarind tree. The remnants of the dead tree fell on June 16 and Tamarind Hotel bought two new trees to ensure having at least one on the property at all times.
