Truck driver lost control

Just 15 minutes shy of mid-day on Wednesday, a Mack dump-truck driver lost control and smashed into the wall of a home located at the beginning of Poinsettia Road. Fortunately no one was hurt but the house received considerable damage as a result of the hit.

TelEm and GEBE were on hand to advise police about the cables lying down on the side of the road. The house belongs to former Police Detective Todd Peterson. Police later had the heavy duty truck removed and traffic in the area was allowed to utilise the roads after 1:00pm just in time for school traffic. The driver of the dump-truck complained of pain in one of his hands and was treated on the scene by paramedics.
