PHILIPSBURG/TRINIDAD--A mother visiting her daughter on St. Maarten turned tragic when monster Hurricane Irma pummelled the country a week ago.
Confirmed dead is Milan Salvary, a national of Trinidad and Tobago.
A statement of the twin-island republic’s Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs said the Ministry was advised late this afternoon by relatives of Salvary about her demise in the hurricane. The deceased frequently visited her daughter who lives in St. Maarten.
Salvary died, during the hurricane, while attempting to relocate from the house in which she was staying.
