VIP Security and Errands personnel attached to Rice Hill Gardens were honoured on Wednesday for their steadfast commitment to their jobs during and after the passing of super-Hurricane Irma. At a gathering of homeowners, Home Owners Foundation board President Astrid Plantz acknowledged the security personnel and one guard in particular – Kirk Clarke, who remained in the security booth during the hurricane.
She said all security guards were instrumental in keeping the residents safe in the aftermath of this storm. Rice Hill Gardens suffered some damage to its outer perimeter, which was repaired quickly, restoring the usual safety and security of the gated community. She added that the homes in the community had done well during the storm, a fact she attributed to the strict building regulations in the community.
