WILLEMSTAD--In an effort to share more with needy residents in Curaçao an emergency telethon titled “#MiTaDuna” is being organised.

It regards a call for national solidarity at a time of global crisis as part of a fundraising media campaign especially for the Curaçao Aid Foundation, better known as the foodbank. For many years the organisation has been distributing grocery packages to underprivileged families on the island.

On Saturday, May 2 there will be a special programme “to listen to those in need, accompany our fellow citizens and entertain the community in these difficult times caused by COVID-19 with much emphasis on different aspects of the global circumstances in which we are living in right now,” stated a release.

The effort will be broadcasted via different media, local television channels, radio stations and the Facebook page: Mi Ta Duna.

“Contributing and helping is essential. Together we can alleviate the situation with solidarity towards the most affected children, youth, adults and families during the period. We will overcome this fight together.”
