Talks with med school

Parliament Chairwoman Sarah Wescot-Williams and Vice Chairman Theo Heyliger recently met with officials of the American University of the Caribbean (AUC) School of Medicine in Parliament House.

The meeting served to introduce the newest members of AUC team Group President/Medical and Healthcare Education representative Kathy Boden Holland and Director of Government Relations for U.S and Caribbean Affairs Eric Mitchell. Executive Dean Heidi Chumley share AUC’s plans and projects with the Parliament reps. “The briefing by the AUC team exuded a sense of ‘we are here to stay.’ I believe the areas of medicine and education are two of the areas St. Maarten should seize to market itself to the outside world and I look forward to AUC playing a major role in this regard,” said Wescot-Williams.
