ST. EUSTATIUS--St. Eustatius Utility Company Stuco is to conduct a planned power outage in the areas of Lampeweg and Cherry Tree today, Thursday, from 8:00am until 12:00pm.
The power will be switched off in these areas to carry out necessary maintenance throughout the high-voltage network, Stuco said in a statement.
Stuco was also conducting testing for the Solar Park. They were blowing fuses to see how the Park would respond.
“When a fuse blows, it usually throws out the power. Now with the Solar Park operational clients would not even notice any changes with the electricity supply,” the utility company stated.
