ST. EUSTATIUS--Residents of St. Eustatius had a chance to stock up on holiday items and treats during a Christmas market held at the St. Eustatius Government’s Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries LVV slaughterhouse in Concordia on Friday, December 17.

Fresh barbecue was also on sale.
Items on sale included barbecue, juices, fruits, vegetables, homemade cakes, local produce, clothing, Christmas decorations, Dutch goods, Jamaican goods, honey and honey-related products, fresh meats, fresh fish, smoked chicken and many other items.
Many persons attended and supported the vendors.
The Christmas market will be held again from 10:00am to 4:00pm Thursday and Friday, December 23 and 24. The market is a chance for people to acquire some hard-to-get items on the island.
