STATIA--Garbage normally litters Zeelandia Beach on St. Eustatius, but not so after the passing of Hurricane Irma.
Statia Waste Management and its workers had fenced and cleaned the dump site just before the passing of the hurricane. This ensured debris from the island’s dumpsite did not litter the area in the category five plus winds.
