Stand against abuse

A number of persons, some bearing placards, took to the streets to march in an effort to create awareness about domestic violence against women and girls on Sunday, November 25.

“Don’t blame the victim,” “Boys will be good humans,” and “I dream of a world where love doesn’t mean fear and violence,” were amongst some of the messages on placards held by marchers. The Awareness Walk for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls was organised by Safe Haven Foundation as part of its Domestic Violence Awareness Month programme. Photos show scenes during the march.
