SURFACE WINDS: 
This afternoon through Friday midday: East northeast to east southeast with a gentle to moderate breeze of 08 to 16 miles per hour.

SYNOPSIS: 

Moisture and instability associated with a tropical wave and a low pressure system will cause cloudy periods and isolated showers over the local region during this forecast period.

Seas are forecast to remain slight to moderate during the next few days.

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to moderate       WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 5 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE:  An area of low pressure which developed about 350 miles east of the Leeward Islands, is moving toward west northwest with showers and thunderstorms. This system has a low chance for formation during the next 5 days. The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will monitor the progress of this system.

OUTLOOK through Saturday midday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated showers possible.
