Today: Southeasterly with a light to gentle breeze of 04 to 12 miles per hour, becoming calm at times.

Tonight through Sunday morning: Northeast to east with a light to gentle breeze of 04 to 12 miles per hour, becoming calm at times.

SYNOPSIS: 

Available moisture, light winds and daytime heating could result in some local showers developing over the island during this forecast period.

Sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate for the next few days.

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to Moderate            WAVES/SWELLS: 3 to 5 feet

SPECIAL FEATURES: 
At 11 am, Tropical Storms Karl Lisa continue their movement over the Atlantic Ocean and do not pose a threat to St. Maarten.

Meanwhile, a fast moving tropical wave is forecast to reach the Lesser Antilles by the end of next week. Conditions are expected to become conducive for development as the wave gets closer to the islands. The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor this wave closely as it moves westward.
