SYNOPSIS:
Moisture and instability associated with an area of disturbed weather in the vicinity of the local region may cause cloudy periods and isolated showers during this forecast period.
Seas are forecast to remain slight to moderate during the next few days.
STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to moderate WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 5 feet
SPECIAL FEATURE: An area of disturbed weather associated with a tropical wave located in the vicinity of the Northeastern Caribbean, is moving away toward the west-northwest. This system has a low chance of formation during the next 5 days. Regardless of development, the system will increase the chances for showers over the local region.
A tropical wave located about 1000 miles east of the Lesser Antilles is forecast to develop within the next couple of days, as it moves toward the west-northwest toward the island chain.
The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will monitor the progress of these systems.
