SURFACE WINDS: 
This afternoon through Monday midday: Southeast to south with a light to moderate breeze of 04 to 13 miles per hour.

SYNOPSIS: 

A relatively moist and warm southeasterly to southerly wind flow due to the proximity of Tropical Storm Nicole, will increase the probability of showers over the region during this forecast period.

Seas will remain slight to moderate for the next few days.

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to Moderate       WAVES/SWELLS: up to 5 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE:  
At 11:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm Nicole was located about 428 miles north northwest of St. Maarten. Nicole is nearly stationary with maximum sustained winds near 60 mph.

The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will continue to monitor this system.

OUTLOOK through Tuesday midday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated showers.
