WEATHER: This afternoon through Tuesday midday: Generally fair at first, becoming partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with a passing shower possible.

SURFACE WINDS:  This afternoon through Tuesday midday: Easterly to southeasterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 08 to 17 miles per hour.

SYNOPSIS:  The Atlantic high pressure ridge will maintain light to moderate winds across the region. Pockets of moisture embedded in that flow may cause isolated showers over the local area.

Due to the invasion of local waters by northerly swells, seas are expected to continue to deteriorate before subsiding on Wednesday into Thursday. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
