This afternoon through Saturday midday: Southeasterly with a light to gentle breeze of 04 to 10 miles per hour, becoming calm at times.

SYNOPSIS: 

Available moisture and some weak instability across the local region may result in cloudy periods and possible isolated showers during this forecast period.

Sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate for the next few days.

At 11 am tropical storms Karl and Lisa continue their movement over the Atlantic Ocean and do not pose a threat to St. Maarten.

Meanwhile, a tropical wave just off the African coast will be monitored closely by the Meteorological Department of St. Maarten as it moves westward, towards the Lesser Antilles.
