Moisture and instability associated with a low level disturbance will cause cloudy periods and scattered showers, some of which may be moderate to heavy, over the local region during this forecast period.

SPECIAL FEATURE: An area of showers and thunder located in the vicinity of the Leeward Islands, is moving toward the west northwest. This system has a low chance for formation during the next 5 days. Regardless of development, the system will increase the chances for showers over the local region. The Meteorological Department of St. Maarten will monitor the progress of this system.
An area of disturbed weather associated with a tropical wave is located about 1100 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. Conditions are forecast to be conducive for a depression to form this weekend or early next week, as this system moves toward west northwest.
