Small business centre equipment

The Department of Economy, Transport and Telecommunication (ETT) has secured office equipment valued at NAf. 31,000 for the St. Maarten Business Development Centre (SBDC) in the Ms. Lalie Complex to be opened in October. The equipment was secured via collaboration of ETT, the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (COSME) Programme, part of the 10th European Development Fund (EDF) programme for the Caribbean Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) and General Business and Technical Services Ltd. St. Lucia as supplier.

The centre’s purpose is to provide all services for the development and growth of new and existing businesses. It is part of an overall plan outlined in the Ministry of Tourism and Economic Affairs’ 20-year Economic Development Plan.
