Serious fun village open

Heineken Regatta Race Director Paul Miller sliced the top off a bottle of Heineken to toast the opening of the Regatta Village in Princess Port de Plaisance Monday night as former Commodores of St. Maarten Yacht Club and Island 92 Radio’s emcee Jeffrey “Dr. Soc” Sochrin look on.  Former Commodores present included Ian Hope Ross, Chris Marshall, Robbie Ferron, and Frank Hoedemaker who returned this year as a volunteer. Opening remarks were given by current Commodore Michel Soons, St. Maarten Yacht Club General Manager Michelle Korteweg, Ferron, and Heineken distributor John Leone.
