School bus inspections begin next week Monday

PHILIPSBURG--The Ministry of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transportation and Telecommunication (TEATT), School Busing Section Inspectorate, in conjunction with the School Bus Association, announced on Wednesday that the annual inspection of school buses will commence on Monday, July 17, by appointment only. Inspections will be carried out from Monday through Friday up to August 5. The inspections will take place at the Little League Ball Park parking lot next to the Festival Village.

  The point of contact is the School Bus Association, which can arrange an inspection date and time. Stakeholders must have on hand all original documents of all relevant vehicles and operator documents during the inspection process.

  For any questions or concerns, visit the School Busing Section at Cannegieter Street 23B (upstairs) during office hours or call 542-5641. Inspections will be carried out according to the traffic and public transportation ordinances.
