The male driver of this 4x4 white Jeep driving in the Marigot to Cole bay direction lost control of his vehicle on Monday on the RN7 in Bellevue, crashing into a tree at the entrance to the We Agree with Culture market gardens.
The accident occurred at 11:45am. The Jeep flipped over onto its roof after a front wheel broke off. Witnesses said the jeep was overtaking another car which had begun to turn left into the gardens without indicating. The Gendarmerie indicated the driver was taken to the French side hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries. No other cars were involved or damaged.
