Bonaire’s historic Rincon village is holding its monthly “Nos Zjilea” (Our Thing) celebration on Saturday, organised by the “Mangazina di Rei” cultural museum.
This time the theme is “San Juan” and “San Pedro,” whereby residents with related names such as John and Peter can expect to be serenaded at their homes by a folkloric music group that tours the streets in exchange for a bite to eat and/or something to drink. There will also be a presentation by signing company “Ayo Mundu” at the event, which includes the traditional jumping over an open fire.
