Man arrested for selling fake driver licences 

PHILIPSBURG--During several routine controls carried out recently, the Police Force arrested numerous persons with illegal drivers licenses.

 According to a police press release issued on Friday, these persons were questioned and fined. The detectives started an investigation into the origin of these illegal documents.

  On Thursday, suspect P.M.W., the owner of a driving school who resides in the “Zorg en Rust” neighbourhood in Dutch Quarter, was arrested by the detectives in

connection with forgery of documents. With the permission of the Judge of Instruction, and in the presence of the Prosecutor, the house of suspect P.M.W. was searched.

  An undisclosed amount of falsified documents and some data carriers were found and confiscated. The suspect remains under arrest for further investigation.
