POND ISLAND--A decision about when residents abroad can return to St. Maarten will be made after the passing of Hurricane Maria.
Tourism and Economic Affairs Mellissa Arrindell-Doncher said Monday she wanted to assure those abroad every effort will be made to get them home sooner rather than later. Efforts were already underway, she said, before Maria formed and quickly became a threat.
