Caribbean Community Caricom Secretary-General and Chief Executive Officer Irwin LaRocque paid a courtesy visit to Governor Eugene Holiday on Friday. They discussed cooperation in the Caribbean and the role and position of St. Maarten within Caricom and its organisations. Holiday emphasised that through the region the shared cultural and geographic characteristics and shared challenges provide a good base for cooperation and therefore for the wellbeing of the Caribbean people.
