This afternoon through Thursday midday: Partly cloudy, breezy and hazy, becoming cloudy at times with possible isolated showers.

SURFACE WINDS:

This afternoon through Thursday midday: Easterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 08 to 16 mph and higher gusts.

 

SYNOPSIS:

The Atlantic high pressure ridge with drier air in wake of a tropical wave will result in an improvement of weather condition. Additionally, increasing Saharan dust will aid in restricting precipitation and account for hazy skies. Persons with allergies and/or respiratory illnesses should continue taking the necessary precautions.

 

A Small Craft advisory is in effect for St. Maarten until Thursday morning. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
