SURFACE WINDS:  This afternoon through Thursday midday: Easterly with a moderate to fresh breeze of 14 to 21 mph, and possible occasional gusts.

 

SYNOPSIS:  

Brisk easterly winds and partly cloudy skies will prevail across the region as the Atlantic high pressure system continues to dominate the weather pattern.

Seas are expected to peak near 9 feet before subsiding on Friday. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution, especially along the northern and eastern shores.
