SURFACE WINDS:  This afternoon through Tuesday midday: East-northeasterly with a gentle to moderate breeze of 12 to 20 mph, and higher gusts.

 

SYNOPSIS:  

Pockets of moisture embedded in the brisk wind flow will cause a few passing showers as they drift across the region.

Rough seas are expected with swells up to 10 feet. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution, especially along the northern and eastern shores.
